Christmas is almost here! The excitement is in much anticipation and I, myself can't wait for Christmas to arrive. It's also that time of the year where family and friends gather, to savour all the delicious Christmas treats with great company.
Ixora Hotel Penang is all set and ready to welcome diners to a sumptuous gourmet buffet spread, lucky draw, meet and greet with Santa Clause and Ixora’s mascot Hitam San and be entertained to the smooth sounds from Nova Band.
Join me as we take a look at the delicious treats that awaits you this Christmas.
Let's starts off with some appetizing starters such as German Potato Salad, Thai Style Egg Salad and Seafood Cocktail Salad.
Next to it was the cold cuts like Smoked Duck Breast and Chicken Terrine. I always love to have my cold cuts with my fresh garden greens.
Condiments and dressings of your choice to be enjoyed with your garden salad.
Some hearty soup to warm the stomach. Creamy of Cauliflower Soup and Seafood Chowder Soup. Can't resist having the soft rolls and butter dipped into the soup. Yumz
Back at the grilling station, enjoy nicely grilled items such as marinated chicken chop, marinated beef, jumbo sausages, and black pepper sausage.
It's always nice to spot pasta items on the buffet spread. 2 types of pasta sauce for you to choose from: carbonara and bolognaise sauce. With a choice of pasta of either spaghetti or penne. The bolognaise was good. More of it please :)
Now off to some of the delectable main dishes on the buffet spread. With various types of cooking methods and flavours. Looking at the presentation of the food just makes opens up the appetite even more.
Enjoy hot dishes such as phillaf rice, roasted chicken with creamy mushroom sauce, mutton curry, grilled fish with orange butter sauce, stir fried squid with dried chili sauce, chicken lasagna and many more.
Now to my favourite part, the mouth-watering desserts. It's hard to resist when you spot all these irresistible desserts. Items like Christmas pudding, Christmas praline log cake, stollen, chocolate fountain and many others more.
