It was indeed a pleasant surprise to be invited to Soju Penang Times Square once again and this time it was a celebration for Michelle Ayalde who is making waves in the Malaysian music industry with her newly released extended play (EP) titled HIPNOTIC.
With such oozing charm and charisma, 31-year-old songstress who hails from Manila has unrivalled passion to inspire people through her hearfelt music, much versatile for every kind of listener. "My dream is to inspire people with this EP, which exudes fresh vibes and positive energy," says Michelle.
HIPNOTIC was released in Malaysia on 15 July 2016 and features 7 original tracks in English such as "Hypnotic", "Love", and "Leave All of Your Worries Behind".
Michelle found home in Malaysia while touring the country as a performing artiste since 2011, exclusively at the Soju entertainment outlets in Penang and Kuala Lumpur. "I love everything about Malaysia - the friendly people, delicious food and amazing culture. It is similiar to the Philippines in many way that I feel at home," she says.
Now an artiste signed with Penang-based record label Worldwide Platinum Records, Michelle is the band leader of the highly popular Cash Band. She was forrmerly with much sough-after Crush Crew Project. She has performed in several countries including Japan, Singapore and Indonesia.
Her immense talent and bubbly personality have gained her a legion of loyal fans throughout her 20-year professional singing carrer. Once dubbed an 'emerging diva' of major Filipino commercial television network ABS-CBN, Michelle headlined the Taiwanese group F4's concert in Manila, singing the Tagalog version of "The Love You Want", the theme song for Taiwanese drama series Meteor Garden.
Following the song's success, Michelle was notmiated to receive the award for Best Perforamce by a NEw Female Fecording Artist at the pretigious Awit Awards. In 2005, she released her self-titled debut album under Filipino record label Star Records. The tracks showcased her exceptional vocal powers, garnering extensive plays on radio nationwide in the Philippines.
Part of the proceeds from the sale of the EP will go to Ivorycares, the charitable arm of Ivory Properties Groud Bhd. This is Michelle's philantropic gestures to local charitable organisations, as she believes in making a difference in the lives of the less fortunate.
Michelle also expresses her gratitude to Soju for the opportunity to perform at the outlets.
The night started with the members of CASH band performing getting the crowd onto their feet while enjoying to the songs they performed.
I even had the opportunity to meet up with Michelle up-close. Now how cool was that!
And then the moment we all had been waiting for, the highlight of the night. Michelle then took the stage, looking charming and showcased her powerful and beautiful vocal that melted hearts away.
Suddenly, there was a pause and there was a surprise celebration for Michelle and not long later *poof* the area was covered in confettis. It was a indeed a nice pleasant celebration for her.
Mr Elton Collins, Operation Executive then gave his short gratitude speech. As he was about to end his speech when I heard him mentioning my name among the list of those that he thanked for being there. That moment was truly priceless and I was smiling from left to right all the way :) Well you can't blame me cos it was such an honour. Thank you to you too Mr Elton Collins :)
