Celebrating Christmas Eve and New Year's Eve at Hard Rock Hotel Penang.

2015 is nearing to an end soon but before it ends, Hard Rock Hotel Penang has storm up their kitchen to bring you a delightful spread of festive goodies for Christmas Eve and New Year's Eve buffet spread at the Starz Diner and other offerings at Pizzeria and Hard Rock Café Penang.

Head over on the eve of Christmas as Starz Diner will be offering a Christmas Eve Rock ‘n’ Roll Buffet Dinner for only RM186nett. To add on to the celebration mood, you will receive a complimentary party pack and the chance to participate in their lucky draw. Bet the prizes is gonna be really awesome! Well I'm sure there will be heaps of food for diners to enjoy away but here some of the dishes to look out for, such as the Prawn Tikka with Mango Melon Salsa, Asparagus with Crab Meat Salad, Shellfish Bisque, Roasted Turkey with Giblet Gravy and Cranberries Citrus Sauce, Cajun Spice Red Snapper with shrimp and mussel salsa, well not forgetting desserts such as the Miniature Berry Gingerbread Cakes and Chocolate and Cherry Yule Logs.

I had the opportunity to taste a few of the varieties of food which will be served for you to enjoy.

Kicking off the meal with some sushi-licious from The Sushi Bar. An assortment of various sushi with different ingredients which you will also find on the New Year's Eve Buffet Dinner.

Asparagus with Crab Meat Salad

Ok this was heavenly. Crispy on the outside with amazing taste of crab meat and asparagus together with dressing on it. Fantastic!

Prawn Tikka with Mango Melon Salsa

Succulent prawns with tangy mango melon salsa does give you that pleasing appetite opener. The little side of sweetness and tangy-ness of the salsa sauce compliments the prawn tikka really well. 

Shellfish Bisque Soup

This was really good. It such such powerful flavours which gave the soup that 'kick'. 

And of course, there were a few kind of bread for you to enjoy with your soup too. Olive bread and Grissini (Butter, Pesto & Sundried Tomato Emulsion)

Cajun Spice Red Snapper with Shrimp and Mussel Salsa

Appealing to the eyes right? Definitely appealing to the tummy too. 

Christmas feasting wouldn't be much of a Christmas feast if there wasn't roasted turkey right? Starz Diner serves Roasted Turkey served with  Giblet Gravy and Cranberries Citrus Sauce accompanied by Glazed Nuts, Sage Bread Stuffing, Roasted Vegetables and Sweet Potato.

Pefectly seasoned n roasted that just tasted so good with the Giblet Sauce and the sweet yet tangy Cranberries Citrus Sauce combines perfectly in each bite.

As for the Christmas sweet treats, there will be English Fruit Cake with Glazed Fruits.  

 Not forgetting the ever famous Christmas dessert, Chocolate and Cherry Yule Log. With the Santas and Snowman and other cute deco on it, makes it super cute.

Well it is infact too pretty to be destroyed haha... but sorry couldn't resist so down it goes hehe..

Introducing the masterminds behind the delicious food. The Chefs has done an amazing work. Kudos! The whole set up, from the food presentation to the deco, everything was so appealing that nobody could resist, to snap and to indulge haha.

During the month of December, Pizzeria’s Chef Joe will be serving Santarina Turkey Pizza, available daily from 11.30am – 10.30pm. This pizza is oven-baked to perfection with grilled turkey breast with mushroom glaze, tomato salsa, spinach and cranberry sauce.

At the Hard Rock Café Penang, satisfy your taste buds with a Holiday Rock Platter, available for 
2 persons at RM160nett or 3 persons at RM240nett. Serving until 23 December 2015, this platter is big enough to share and guaranteed to rock your palate. This platter comes with a choice of starter – House Salad or Soup of the Day. For the main course, diners will indulge in a sharing platter consisting of Potato Skins, Onion Rings, BBQ Beef Ribs, Spaghetti with Prawn Paste, Mini Beef Burgers with Satay Sauce, Chicken Wings with Chipotle BBQ Sauce, Ferringhi Ikan Bakar with Portuguese Sauce and Pulled Lamb Sandwich with Carolina Mustard BBQ Sauce. A homemade Brownie with Vanilla Ice Cream will be served for dessert!

For those who fancy more of a set dinner instead of a buffet dinner may opt for Hard Rock Café Penang’s 4-course Christmas Eve Dinner at RM185nett per person. The dinner offers a starter – Mini Citrus Salad and a Cream of Lobster and Crab soup. For the choice of mains, the café will be serving a choice of Roasted Five Spiced Lamb Rack, Roasted Turkey Breast and Pan-fried Atlantic Salmon. For dessert, diners will feast on a delicious Strawberry Meringue with berry compote and wild berry macadamia gelato. Dinner includes two selected drinks and a complimentary party pack.

On New Year’s Eve, Starz Diner will be serving a New Year’s Eve Buffet Dinner at RM199nett per person inclusive of a complimentary party pack and lucky draw. Some of the highlights to look out for are, the Homemade Salmon Gravlax and Marinated Prawn with Condiments, Chilled Shooters – pumpkin, beetroot, green pea and basil tomato, Roasted Chicken served glazed baby carrot and citrus tapenade, Coffee Crusted Beef Fillet with pumpkin puree and shallots gravy, Mix Berries Financier with Mascarpone Cream and Mango Crème Brûlée.

These Chilled Shooters are interestingly cute and adorable. They are small portions of chilled soup made from pumpkin, beetroot, green pea and basil tomato,

Coffee Crusted Beef Fillet with Pumpkin Puree and Shallot Gravy

The coffee crust give the tender beef a little crunch which is something quite interesting. Fragrant of the coffee which is just right, and the pumpking puree and the nicely done shallot gravy gives you a different dining experience. Something new.

Roasted Chicken Glazed Baby Carrot Served with Citrus Tapenade

Juicy tender pieces of chicken accompanied by the Citrus Tapenade does give that normal chicken dish a appealing twist.  

Desserts in small cup are always very attractive. Same goes for the Mango Crème Brûlée and apart from the norms that we get, the addition of mango into it makes it rather something unique on its own. 

Mixed Berries Financiaer with Mascarpone Cream

For seafood lovers, diners may opt for Pizzeria’s New Year’s Eve Seafood Buffet Dinner at RM199nett inclusive of a complimentary party pack and lucky draw. The buffet includes a variety of Cold Platters, Chilled Seafood, Salad, Antipasto, Cheese Platters, Soups, Hot Dishes, BBQ Seafood, Pasta & Carving Station, Pizzas and Desserts.

Hard Rock Café Penang on the other hand will be offering a 4-course New Year’s Eve Dinner at RM195nett per person. Starter includes a Mini Chicken Chop Salad and Creamy Leek and Fennel & Potato Soup. Main courses comes with a choice of Grilled Marinated Angus Strip Loin & Pacific Scallop, Baked Sesame Cod Fish & Grilled Sambal King Prawn or Oven Baked Lamb Rack & Tandoori Salmon. To end the perfect meal, diners will be served a delightful Tiramisu Mascarpone Mousse with pistachio biscotti and coffee gelato.
