Rhythm and Motion Spa Treatment at Hard Rock Hotel Penang.

Hard Rock Hotel Penang recently introduced the arrival of Rhythm and Motion in their Rock Spa premise. It gets even more interesting because Rock Spa Penang is the 1st in Asia to have Rhythm and Motion and the 5th to have it among all the Hard Rock Hotels internationally. Now that is something to shout about.

I am truly fortunate to be given the opportunity to experience it. So what is this Rhythm and Motion? Sounds like some therapist cum DJ will be spinning on your body? haha It doesn't work in that way. Rhythm and Motion is the world's first fully immersive music-centric spa menu utilizing amplified vibrations, pressures and patterns as the foundation of its treatment.

This ground breaking experience takes you on a rhythmic massage journey- bass vibrations ripple through the massage table as treble beats comes from above sending pulses through the body and leaving you feeling energized and invigorated.

Turning up the volume on the traditional massage practices, the massage therapist synchronizes movements with an expertly curated playlist as guest embark on a journey of the sense. I was warmly welcomed by the friendly staff there followed by a cup of ginger tea upon arriving at Rock Spa. Soon I was showed to the massage room to get ready for my session.

There were 3 types of treatment catered to spa-goers. I chose the Synchronicity treatment where it is a pulsating massage featuring a masterfully blended soundtrack. Utilizing greatest hits from yesterday to today. The treatment taps into memories to create an experiential journey, in sync with a performance of techniques, pressure and rhythm. The massage offers a foot cleanse with hot stone and a choice of Hard Rock Massage or Traditional Malaysia Massage.

Ok peeps..time for me to pamper myself like a star haha no peeping ya LOL..

The therapist that I had was petit in size but she sure had the massage skills and the pressure that she put was really good. She started the legs with the hot rock which gave a really nice massage to the legs. Just as it started, the music played so did the massage bed started vibrating from the bass vibrations. The treble is located above the bed, so the music treble if focused on you as the music plays. Do bear in mind that the density of the vibration is based on the volume of the music played. The louder it is, the more vibrations from the bass.

My therapist then massaged my upper body right up to my head. Felt really relax and you know it works when you don't feel those strains and tightness.

So when I was done, it felt so good. Refreshing, energized and calm at the same time. It does deliver something unlike any other massage treatment.
