Songkran Sawadee Pee Mai Festival at Eastin Hotel Penang



It is good to be back again at Eastin Hotel Penang and for this time around Eastin Hotel Penang is pleased to present you the Delight of Thai Cuisine Buffet Menu to excite all Thai food lovers, giving the kick on their taste buds with its strong and bold flavour. 

The promotion is only valid throughout the month of April 2015.

So let's have a look at what they have in store for us. First start, the salad bar selection.

Lab Gai - Spicy Minced Chicken Salad with Roasted Rice and Chili Powder



Yam Hua Plee Sai Goong - Banana Flower Spicy Salad with Shrimp and Chili Paste




Nam Prik Long Rue - Thai Shrimp Paste and Salted Egg Dip with boiled fresh vegetables



Tao Hoo Lod Phad Khuenchaiy - Stir Fried Tofu with Celery & Oyster Sauce





Tom Yam Goong - Spicy Prawns Soup with Lemongrass & Galangal Lime Juice



Geang Juide Mara Sai Gai - Bitter Gourd Soup with Chicken




Panaeng Nuae - Stir Fried Sliced Beef with Light Red Curry


Pla Kapong Phad Khuenchaiy - Stir Fried Crispy Snapper with Celery Oyster Sauce


When it comes to Thai curry, I really love the green curry. Nice fragrance, nice flavours it has. Just this and rice is good enough for me haha..

Geang Keaw Whan Gai - Chicken Green Curry with Eggplants and Basil



Phad Preaw Whan Talay - Stir Fried Crispy Seafood and Cucumber with Sweet & Sour Sauce



There always something unique about Thai desserts. 

Packthong Sakaya - Steamed Eggs Custard in Pumpkin (cold)




Kao Neaw Mamuang - Mango Sticky Rice
Sweet mango and creamy coconut milk and sticky rice, i think i could finish up everything on that plate :)



Now this is one dessert I have been longing to have.

Tap Thim Krawp - Water Chestnut with Jack Fruit in Coconut Ice Syrup
Sweet small chunks of jack fruit and crunchy water chestnut compliments well with the coconut milk. Once you have 1, you will want more.



The next one the only similarity is the rice dumpling like our tang yuan. Just that it's served on a more flavourful method.
